Associate Professor

Ben Lacey is an epidemiologist and public health physician. He leads the UK Biobank Epidemiology Group, based at the Clinical Trial Service Unit and Epidemiological Studies Unit (CTSU), University of Oxford.

His work supports the conduct of UK Biobank, focusing particularly on the enhancement of the study through linkage with routine health-related datasets. His main research interests are in the socio-economic and lifestyle determinants of health.

He qualified in medicine from the University of Edinburgh, and received an MSc in Global Health Science and a DPhil in Epidemiology from the University of Oxford. 

He is an Honorary Consultant Physician in Public Health at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust, a Fellow of the Faculty of Public Health of the Royal Colleges of Physicians, and a Member of Common Room at Green Templeton College, Oxford.
