DPhil Student
Shehab joined the Clinical Trial Service Unit and Epidemiological Studies Unit (CTSU) in October 2024 as a DPhil student in Population Health. He is also involved in enhancing outcome ascertainment in large-scale cohorts in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs).
Shehab’s research is generously supported by Health Data Research UK (HDR UK) and the Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH). His project is supervised by Professor Sarah Lewington and Dr. Jennifer Carter.
Before joining CTSU, Shehab completed his medical degree from Dhaka Medical College, Bangladesh, followed by an MSc in Global Health Science and Epidemiology from the University of Oxford. He also completed a one-year research trainee fellowship at NDPH.
Shehab has previously contributed to several epidemiological studies, including the BELIEVE prospective study with 75,000 participants and nationally representative surveys on non-communicable diseases in Bangladesh.
