Postoperative radiation therapy for early breast cancer
Oliveros S., Dodwell D.
Radiation therapy (RT) involves the delivery of ionising radiation in an attempt to kill malignant cells and is frequently used in the management of early breast cancer (EBC). Surgery is the main curative treatment strategy for EBC and all fit patients should have definitive surgery. Systemic therapy plays a synergistic role along with locoregional RT to improve outcomes.
